We organize activities and programs thatÌýdive deeply into the ideas behind, and questions raised by, our exhibitions and collections. We also create programs to exploreÌýthe creativeÌýresearch occurring throughout the university. Whether gallery talks, faculty lectures, expert conversations, concerts, performances, or workshops we welcome students and the public to join us for our free programs at the museum and around CU'sÌýcampus. Artist Spotlight & Embroidery Workshop: Inspired by Delita Martin

Saturday, April 5th from 1—3pm at the CU Art Museum

Come try your hand at embroidery while learning about multimedia artist Delita Martin! In thisÌýprogram,Ìýwe will use fabric and embroidery floss to create a work of art that you can hang up in your home!

Snacks and materials will be provided. No experience necessary - all are welcome to attend this free workshop.

Chamber Music Performance: Koa String Quartet

Saturday, April 12th from 1—2pm at the CU Art Museum

Join us for an in-gallery concert with the Koa String Quartet and be surrounded by art and music. Koa is the Graduate String Quartet-in-Residence at the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ, where they were the first prize winners of the 2024 Ekstrand Competition. Members of the Koa are violinists Kisa Uradomo (Maui, Hawai’i) and Leah Pernick (Metro Detroit, Michigan), violist Devin Cowan (Long Island, New York), and cellist Heewon Lee (O'ahu, Hawai’i).

Feel Good Fridays Guided Meditation

You are invited to this weekly hybrid workshop to learn about a work of art and then participate in a related mindfulness practice. You are welcome to join us in the museum galleries in person or virtually via Zoom. The powerful, guided meditation can undo stress, soothe the nervous system, and help youÌýfeelÌýrelaxed and revitalized. If practiced regularly, the meditation teaches a method forÌýfeeling calm, easeful, and resilient, even when facing life’s challenges. Meditations are open to students, faculty, staff, and the public. All are welcome and there is no need for past experience with meditation. Registration is required if attending virtually.ÌýAll sessions begin promptly at 12:15.
