Facility Access


For the safety and well-being of our vivaria and staff, access to our facilities is tightly controlled.

  • To request visitor access to one of our facilities, please contact the Office of Animal Resources at OAROffice@colorado.edu.
  • For research staff, please complete the steps below.

Step 1 | Complete IACUC Training


Step 2 | Complete OCC Health & Safety Trainings


Step 3 | Get Added to a Protocol


Step 4 | Submit Facility Access Application to OAR

    • Note: Orientation at the Gold and Wilderness Facilities is held on Wednesdays at 1:00 PM
    • To check the status of your application please contact us at oaroffice@colorado.edu.

Step 5 | Receive OAR Facility Orientation

  • Upon completing the previous steps, the OAR will contact you to arrange a facility orientation.

Training

As a department, we strive to provide the highest quality care. Therefore, we provide complimentary one-on-one and group trainings on a variety of techniques and procedures to all staff working within our vivaria.

  • Submit a training request and the appropriate party within OAR will be in contact with you.
