Disability Services andÌýParking & Transportation Services work collaboratively to support students with disabilities or temporary medical conditions who need assistance with parking on or commuting to, from and around campus.

ÌýÌý Ìý ÌýStep One: Register with Disability Services
Students who are not currently registered with Disability Services:
- Register with Disability Services by submitting anÌý.
- Please note that if you need to request academic accommodations, you must schedule a separate academic Access Meeting.
Students who are currently registered with Disability Services:
- Submit aÌýSupplemental Request in Accommodate.
ÌýÌý Ìý ÌýStep Two: Submit documentation
Students requesting reasonable accommodations and/or services must submit documentation of a disabling condition to verify eligibility. Students are required to submit documentation regarding the diagnosis(es) that demonstrates a disability covered under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 as amended (2008) and Fair Housing Act.
Please review ourÌýDocumentation Guidelines for Housing & Dining Accommodations for additional information. All documentation is kept confidential. Additional forms of documentation may include:
- Medical providers may fill out ourÌýDisability Verification Form.
- A letter from a qualified medical professional.
- Psychological evaluation(s).
- Psychoeducational evaluation(s) with standardized test scores.
- A physician’s medical records.

ÌýÌý Ìý ÌýStep Three: Disability Services reviews submitted documentation
The Housing Access Coordinator will provide a Notice of Determination to the student within ten (10) business days following the start of the review process. This 10-day time limit may be extended at the discretion of the Housing Access Coordinator, upon written notice to the student. In order to initiate the review process, the student must submit anÌý and provide supporting documentation.

- There is no building-to-building shuttle service on campus. However, both .Ìý
- Students may purchase a two-week permit with Parking Services while they are applying for a state-issued ADA license plate, decal or placard, or if they are recovering from a temporary medical condition and/or working with Disability Services for formal parking accommodations.Ìý
- These permits are issued near your residence hall and/or classrooms. Please note that temporary injuries usually do not qualify for ADA parking.

While each accommodation request is assessed on a case-by-case basis, Disability Services, in collaboration with Parking Services, typically provides parking permit accommodations that may allow an individual to park close to their academic building(s), residence hall (if living on campus) or certain areas of campus (e.g., east campus, Williams Village, etc.).Ìý
The review process for housing, parking and dining accommodations may take up to 10 business days. If Disability Services is unable to issue a decision within the 10-business day timeline, an access coordinator will communicate with you.Ìý
Depending on how long the temporary parking pass is needed, Parking ServicesÌý can provide temporary permits to students. If the parking permit is needed for longer than what Parking Services can provide directly, Disability Services can assist with this accommodation request.Ìý
Yes. You can either apply for a temporary parking permit through Parking Services, or you can apply for a long-term parking accommodation through Disability Services.Ìý
