First-Year Students

You are considered a first-year student if you have not enrolled at another college or university since graduating from high school.

Transfer Students

You are considered a transfer student if you have enrolled at another college or university since graduating from high school.

Graduate Students

You are considered a graduate student if you have earned a bachelor's degree and are pursuing an advanced degree in a specific field.

Applying as an international student?

You are an international student if you need a visa to be in the U.S. U.S. passport and green card holders should apply as U.S. students. Scholarships

The College of Arts and Sciences awards more than 200 scholarships each year to first-year and continuing students with a major in the Arts and Sciences.

Scholarships are awarded by the Dean鈥檚 Office and by many of the departments based on academic merit, financial need, extracurricular activities, leadership experience or other considerations.
