Provost's Post, June 2024
Dear colleagues,
This is our sole summer edition of the Provost’s Post, in which you will find:
- An update on our HR Blueprint Project—a key project in the Transformation and Financial Resilience initiative that COO Pat O’Rourke and I announced last March
- News that July 5 will be a holiday, but classes will continue as usual
- An update on our accreditation process
- A story on our Ombuds office’s annual report
- Guidance on summer instruction and how to use the faculty contract salary calculator.
On July 1, we will welcome Chancellor Justin Schwartz to CU ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ and also welcome outgoing Chancellor Phil DiStefano into his new role as senior executive director of the Center for Leadership. I am grateful to Phil for his support of me and of our academic mission over the last 14 years I have served as provost, and I’m looking forward to working with Justin.
Summer is a great time to refocus on research, scholarship, and creative work, and to enjoy family, friends, and travel. My best to each of you in these and other activities, and we’ll see you in late August for the first AY 2024-25 Provost’s Post.
Warmly,
Russ
