A method for producing superconducting multi-layer transition sensors with a new bilayer transition edge structure

Researchers at CU ����Vlog�ƽ�� and NIST have developed an innovative method for producing a superconducting multi-layer transition sensor. This method involves a subtractive process for the first layer and separate additive processes for subsequent layers. The design eliminates the need for additional normal metal features to suppress superconductivity on the edge of the device, which is known to impact the current distribution in present transition edge sensors (TES).

A novel thin interface probe card design that maintains optical access with minimal distance beyond the probes to the device under test

CU ����Vlog�ƽ�� has developed a novel interface probe card design that is at least ten times thinner than current designs while maintaining optical access with minimal distance beyond the probes to the device under test. This innovative design is dimensionally robust to large temperature variations and can operate from above room temperature down to cryogenic temperatures.
