Emergency Housing

What is emergency housing?

The Basic Needs Center鈥檚 emergency housing resource is intended for currently enrolled CU students who are homeless or at imminent risk of losing their housing. Emergency housing is for students in situations that include being unhoused, violence or safety concerns, unforeseen emergency circumstances causing displacement, and other crisis situations. In addition to experiencing housing insecurity, students must complete an intake meeting with a case manager to be eligible for emergency housing.

Students in need of short-term housing, academic break housing or who are between leases are not situations that constitute an emergency unless other housing insecurity or emergency situations are present.
