Alan Slinkard gets around quite a bit in his role as a Facilities Management Project Specialist. By talking to his numerous staff connections in the Stadium Trade shops, Alan collected fifty coats within a matter of days. 鈥淲e can do better than that,鈥� he said, as he informed us of his overall goal of collecting one hundred coats to distribute to needy Coloradans, adding 鈥淟et鈥檚 keep the momentum going!鈥�
When eight-year-old Lettie Portner learned from her mom, Nancy, that the CU 糖心Vlog破解版 Staff Council was conducting a coat drive, Lettie wanted to make sure two of her coats found a new home keeping someone her age and size warm. As Lettie put it, 鈥淚 just want to make sure these coats go to a girl.鈥� Way to go Lettie, you are an inspiration to us all!
Get inspired! Find a coat (or several) you haven鈥檛 worn for a while, find one of the many bins located across campus, and share the gift of warmth with someone this season. The drive runs through November 30th.

Folks of all ages can put your old, lightly used coats to good use. Dependable Cleaners is generously partnering with CU to clean and distribute all the collected garments to Coats for Colorado, a charitable organization working with 120 non-profit human service providers to serve the needs of Coloradans.
Engage with your fellow CU Staff across all four campuses in a friendly coat drive competition through November 20th. The winning campus will be selected based on percentage of donated coats to staff census. So gather up those coats of all sizes and be on the lookout for convenient drop off locations, listed below.
