Taste of Home | Stan’s One-Pot Chili

Why they submitted this recipe: This is the recipe our family always asks for when we are all together. It brings back memories of home and is a very easy to make comfort food for our family.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil Medium yellow onion diced
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 16 oz can dark red kidney beans, drained
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- Pour olive oil to large stock pot, add diced onions and heat about 5-minutes over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef to the pot and cook until the beef is browned, stirring occasionally.
- Pour drained kidney beans and can of tomato sauce to the pot.
- Stir in chili powder to the mixture.
- Bring all ingredients to a simmer, then cover and allow to simmer 35-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.

- Top with shredded cheese
- Serve over white rice
- Serve with corn bread
