Poster Session Details

When?

The poster session will be held on Saturday, Aug.Ìý17, from 12:30-2 p.m.ÌýLunch will be provided concurrently with the session.

Where?

The posters will be lined up on rollable whiteboards arranged along the JSCBB Gallery corridor, outside of the main auditorium where the sessions are hosted. Note: An added perk - wonderful mountain views from the corridor windows (assuming it is a clear day)!

Poster size

The whiteboards used to display the posters will be 92 in. wide X 38 in. tall. We hope to put twoÌýposters per side of the board (but may have limited additional boards for some of the slightly bigger sized ones). Hence, please plan accordingly for your own poster size.

When to put the posters up

The posters should all be up by noon on Aug.Ìý17. The best time to put them up will be during the registration and breakfast time (7:30-9 a.m.) and during the coffee break (10:30-11 a.m.). Logistics for putting the poster up: For poster presenters – when you pick up your badge at the registration desk; you will also need to pick up a tag/sticker. The tags will define a color that corresponds to whether you are an undergraduate, graduate, or post-doctoral/research associate level presenter. After registration at the desk, you are free to go to the gallery area, and pick any free spot to put up your poster. If you need any assistance with putting the poster up, please ask one of our volunteers for assistance.

Awards

The posters are all part of the conference poster session, will be judged by experts, and will be eligible for one of several conference awards and incentives (details shared separately). In addition, 10 submissions will be shortlisted to deliver Scientific Briefs,Ìýwhich are five-minute highlight talks, hosted within the moderated scientific sessions. If a participant is selected for a scientific brief, they will receive a separate email notifying them of such, which will include further instructions about the presentation requirements.
