This process is open to first-year graduate students for the 2025-26 academic year. Applications for the waiting list will be accepted beginning March 17, 2025.

Students should not wait until last minute to apply to housing as space in Athens North is limited.

Before Applying

Access to the housing application is granted after the following:

• $200 confirmation deposit has been paid to Admissions.
• The Identikey credentials have been confirmed.
• Important Note: It takes 3-5 business days after completing both before the housing application can be accessed. This should be taken into consideration for any upcoming deadlines.

Application Details

• Applications for this process open on March 17, 2025. All completed applications are automatically added to the waiting list, which is processed based on the time and date of completion. Assignments are made according to eligibility and the availability of listed preferences.
• Athens North is contracted by bed space only. Roommates are assigned by University Housing, and while roommate requests are considered, they are not guaranteed.
• CU ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ'sÌýCenter for Disability and AccessÌýreviews requests for housing and food accommodations for students with documented disability-related needs on a case-by-case basis. If you require a housing or food accommodation, please submit your request to the Center for Disability and Access as soon as possible, ideally at the same time as you submit your University Housing application. Application Timeline

• March 17: Waiting list application opens for fall 2025 housing
• March 24: Waiting list placement will be available by emailing universityhousing@colorado.edu
• June 2-Nov. 15*: Offers for Graduate and Family Housing will be sent to the waiting list based on availability and time/date of application completion
• July 11*: Room assignment and roommate information will be released

Application Process

• Complete the application in its entirety and pay the $50 non-refundable application fee. The application is not considered completed until the fee is paid.
• University Housing will attempt to match your preferences with an available apartment. Only listed preferences will be considered.
• To accept an apartment offer, a $1,000 security deposit and signed contract are required.
• Offers will be sent throughout the semester and there is no guarantee of receiving a housing offer prior to the start of classes.

Please note that due to numerous construction projects happening within Graduate and Family Housing, our availability may be limited for the Fall semester. We encourage you to explore alternative options such as the Office of Off-Campus Housing and Neighborhood Relations.
