Lupita Ortiz is a Sociology major with a minor in Political Science at CU ����Vlog�ƽ��, known for her unwavering commitment to leadership, equity, and community empowerment. As Chair of the Alumni Relations Committee for the Herd Leadership Council (HLC) since 2022, Lupita has fostered meaningful connections between students and alumni, organizing initiatives such as the Affinity Graduation Ceremonies and the inaugural Herd Leaders Reunion. Her work has created inclusive spaces that celebrate CU ����Vlog�ƽ��’s diverse achievements and strengthen alumni-student relationships.

Lupita defines leadership as “putting the community above personal interests,” driven by integrity and a deep commitment to the greater good. In addition to her work with HLC, she serves as Vice President of Operations for the Senior Class Council, contributing to initiatives that honor the graduating class. Outside of campus, Lupita’s dedication to social justice is evident in her role as a Public Policy and Advocacy Intern with the YWCA of ����Vlog�ƽ�� County, where she mentors first-generation high school students and organizes events like Women’s Empowerment Day at the Colorado Capitol.

Described by peers as “a master at making her team members feel loved and respected,” Lupita exemplifies empathy, strength, and integrity in everything she does.
