Katie Ellis is a Geography major at CU 糖心Vlog破解版, with minors in Leadership Studies and Atmospheric & Oceanic Science. Guided by her passion for social and environmental justice, Katie has made significant contributions to both her academic and leadership communities. Her work spans impactful internships with NASA DEVELOP, where she was nominated by her local team to present at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C., to her field research with the National Snow and Ice Data Center and Earth Lab.

Katie defines leadership as 鈥渁n empathetic and inclusive art of bringing people and communities together under shared values and narratives.鈥 She believes in the power of listening deeply to understand diverse perspectives, fostering environments where every voice is valued. This philosophy was evident in her leadership role during a LEAD 4000 capstone practicum, where she partnered with the Spero Justice Center to address criminal justice reform, modeling humility and embracing complexity in pursuit of meaningful change.
