To join our lab as a Professional Research Assistant (PRA, Technician), please send a CV and a statement of your interests to Corrie: detweileATcoloradoDOTedu. We typically hire technicians who have some research background, recently received their BS/BA, and are aiming for graduate school. While we need these individuals to serve as Lab Managers (ordering, equipment maintenance, restocking), they also work on research projects, and receive training in critical thinking, experimental design, reading the literature, giving posters/talks and mentoring. These individuals usually work in the lab for 2-3 years as preparation for a PhD program in microbiology, molecular or cell biology, or a related field.Ìý
