Peterson was borned and raised inÌýHaiti and moved to Colorado in 2017. He joined the Climate Justice Leaders Program because he values community, the environmentÌýand justice. In Haiti, Peterson worked with organizationsÌýthat built community through street cleaning, recycling and reforestation projects, he primarily worked on tree planting and educational efforts. He currently works as a construction worker and is very interested in exploring how to make the industry more sustainable and less wasteful. He isÌýworking hard to obtain his GED in hopes of one day goingÌýto college. PetersonÌýloves toÌýdance, produce music and listen to Konpa - also he stillÌýdoes not understand why in the United States households have one car per person, in Haiti everyone commutes or shares rides!
