Faculty Director, Shideh Dashti, CEAE associate professor in geotechnical engineering and geomechanics, is a world-renowned researcher in the design and assessment of hazard resilient physical infrastructure, innovative sensing technologies, and intersection of resilience, environmental sustainability, and justice. She served as co-director of the Center for Infrastructure, Energy, and Space Testing (2015-22), acting associate dean for research (2022-23), and director of CEAS-funded Resilient Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RISE) (since 2020).
