Digital Marketing Coordination Support Student Worker

Position Summary:
The College of Engineering and Applied Science is seeking a motivated and creative student to join our digital marketing team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in developing digital content to engage with college stakeholders and enhance our online presence through social media channels and our website. This position offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and creative student to gain hands-on experience in the field of digital marketing while contributing to the success and growth of our college.
Responsibilities:
- Content Creation and Curation: Create / re-purpose original content for various digital platforms, including social media channels and the website, to showcase the college's culture, achievements, programs, and events. Curate and post relevant content from college / department sources that align with the college's mission, values, and marketing/communications objectives.
- Website Maintenance: Collaborate with internal website and creative teams and other content creators to assist with updating and maintaining the college's website, ensuring that all information is accurate, current, and visually appealing.Ìý
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a student at the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ. Position not limited to College of Engineering & Applied Science students. All students across campus are encouraged to apply.
- 2-plus years of experience building a social media presence, a deep understanding of digital marketing trends, and best practices.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging, viral content.
- Basic knowledge of Drupal or other web content management systems (CMS) and graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Passion for technology, engineering, and the mission of the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
Working Hours and Compensation:
This is a part-time student worker position, offering approximately 10-20 hours per week during the academic year, with the potential for additional hours during busy periods. The compensation will be commensurate with experience and in accordance with the university's student worker pay scale.
