Wakanyi Hoffman is a public speaker, author and Indigenous knowledge educator specializing in Ubuntu philosophy. She is a PhD researcher at Utrecht University’s Inclusive AI Lab, exploring the integration of Ubuntu ethics in sustainable AI design and intercultural inclusivity in emerging innovations.
With a background in media and communications and a master’s in development education and global learning from UCL, Hoffman founded the African Folktales Project and developed a curriculum for climate educators using African storytelling. She is also the author of children’s books and a promoter of Ubuntu philosophy as a framework for human flourishing. Hoffman lives in the Netherlands with her family.
