MichaelÌýJacobs, commonly known as MikeyJ, is a senior in the environmental studies program.ÌýMikeyÌýcites taking two gap years in France to explore his role in political activism as a strong motivator to join the board. As someone who has spent years in grass root organizing, protesting, and community politics he knows what the people need. And that is an inclusive, diverse, and widespread movement to catalyze solutions to the impending climate crisis. One thing he is particularly motivated to accomplish is some headway on creating new and more aggressive carbon reduction plans.ÌýMikeyÌýis passionate that there is no climate justice movement without social justice, and he’s ready to bring that energy to the CUSG Environmental Board.
