Marcela is a Colombian political scientist with more than 25 years of experience in the design of public policies and strategic communications. She has an extensive professional background, having served as the General Director of Foros Semana at Semana Magazine, a publication well-regarded for its influential political and economic analyses in Colombia.

Marcela has also held the position of Executive Director at the Institute of Political Science - Hernán Echavarría Olózaga - in Bogotá, one of the most influential policy-oriented think tanks in the country. Throughout her career, Marcela has worked as an advisor and campaign manager for various candidates, both at local and national levels.

She has also gained international experience as a consultant for Oxford Analytica (UK). Marcela has developed a strong network, allowing her to build professional relationships with individuals in Washington and across the Americas, including political leaders, civil society representatives, and business sector professionals.

Currently, Marcela is the founder and CEO of Vision Americas International, a consulting firm specializing in strategic communication and government relations, based in Washington, D.C. Her expertise focuses on the relationship between Latin America and the United States.
