Judith Grisel is a professor of psychology and neuroscience at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. Her research, which began in her adolescence, explores the neural mechanisms underlying addiction and the impact of sex differences on substance use disorders. After overcoming addiction herself in her 20s, she pursued a PhD in behavioral neuroscience at the ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ and completed postdoctoral work in behavioral genetics at Oregon Health & Science University.
Grisel is the author of theÌýNew York Times bestsellerÌýNever Enough: The Neuroscience and Experience of Addiction (2019), now translated into over a dozen languages. A sought-after speaker, she has shared her expertise at events such as the World Economic Forum in Davos and on platforms such as NPR’sÌýFresh Air with Terry Gross andÌýScience magazine’s podcast.
