First Destination Survey

Maximizing student success depends on a thorough understanding of where our graduates go, what they do, how they are succeeding, and what aspects of their college education have impacted their successes.Ìý Some of this information we gather ourselves, some is provided by third parties, and additional sources provide general information about the new collegiate graduate market.Ìý

CU ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Graduate Destinations Project (GDP)Ìýis a survey sent to all CU ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ graduates six months after graduation. The survey covers topics ranging from employment to graduate school to a physical location. Results are presented through Tableau so that users can narrow the results by particular graduating class, discipline, or any other criteria covered in the survey. This research is conducted by Career Services and covers CU ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ graduates.

EMSI provides a snapshot of data on all of CU ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ graduates compiled from a variety of government sources, job postings, online profiles, and resumes. Individual snapshots by major or groups of majors are available; email Career Services to request.

Universum is an employer branding company. In order to provide their clients with feedback on the new graduate job market, they do a survey each year to understand what students want and how they perceive the job market. As a partner school, we get the information provided by our own students in comparison to national responses. Reports include CU ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ All Students, CU ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Humanities/Liberal Arts/Education, and CU ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ Natural Sciences.

The U.S. Census Bureau released new data on labor market outcomes for college graduates as part of the Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO). These new data feature public institutions from Colorado. PSEO is a public-use data product produced in cooperation with higher education institutional systems to provide a comprehensive look at degree attainment and graduate earnings nationwide.

Although not specific to CU ÌÇÐÄVlogÆƽâ°æ, the (CERI) at Michigan State University has a great deal of information on collegiate recruiting.
