An interrogation of queer parenthood, gender identity, and how to find belonging

Blood Baby is a multiformat performance project exploring the intersectionality of queer parenthood, gender identity, and sexuality with geology, creation, and belonging.ÌýBlood BabyÌýis composed of four interwoven aspects: Primordial, Touch Library, Carpet Womb, and Queer Parent Convenings (QPC).Ìý

Primordial consists of a series of site-specific, alternative drag performances as a fabric rock, connecting geology and queer gestation through dance.

Touch Library is a tactile browsing library where attendees engage physically with Blood Babyʼs textile materials.Ìý

Carpet Womb is an immersive dance installation inside a womb/cave-like sculpture: a hot, gay, ritual disco.Ìý

QPCs are the center of the research and audience for Blood Baby, and provide opportunities to build relationship, connection and share resources between queer parents.
