These appointments are temporary in nature and for one teaching term only. The terms are defined as: Fall Term, Spring Term or Summer Session. Combined appointments in multiple units may be available.ÌýÌý

Residential Academic Programs (RAPS)Ìý
Teaching for units within the Residential Academic Programs (RAPS) can expect a starting salary based on the base compensation of divisional teaching assignments.Ìý
Teaching Assistant support is not available to RAP Lecturers, and additional compensation per credit hour while teaching in the Residential Academic Programs will be calculated at $1,000 per additional credit hour.Ìý For courses less than 3 credit hours, the rate of pay will be reduced by $1,000 per credit hour decrease.Ìý IE: Base Rate – ($1,000 * Reduced Credit Hour) = base rate for 1 and 2 credit hour courses.Ìý
Note: Compensation outside of posted salary ranges will require justification approved by the Associate Dean or Divisional Dean.ÌýÌý
µþ±ð²Ô±ð´Ú¾±³Ù²õÌý
Paid temporary faculty appointments are eligible for accrued sick time. Sick time is earned on a prorated basis, and is calculated at 24 hours of accrued sick time per academic term for full time (100%) appointments or a combination of appointments during the same term of employment.ÌýÌýÌý
A combination of appointments of 50% or above are eligible for health benefits.Ìý
What We RequireÌý
A minimum of a Master’s Degree in the course material is required to serve as Instructor of Record in a credit granting course.Ìý
